Thanks to the fine folks at Austin Books & Comics for being such great hosts for our recent James Bond Lexicon in-store book-signing event. We had a great time meeting lots of folks and chatting about Bond. And a special vote of thanks to those fine folks who also picked up a signed copy of the Lexicon, we appreciated the interest and support.
Thanks to reader Jeff Philips for including The James Bond Lexicon in this recent post on his Instagram account. We’re honored to be included in such good company – and we can highly recommend all the other books in this collection too.
The Bond Lexicon team (i.e. Gillian and Alan) had a great time at the recent Comicpalooza pop-culture event in Houston TX, where we’d been asked to present our “25 Things You Didn’t Know About James Bond” panel. It was interesting, and a little different, being on an open stage in the middle of the main convention floor. We got a good engaged crowd, had some fun throwing out a mix of 007 themed trivia questions and facts for the audience. Thanks also to the few folks who stayed a while after the panel and picked up signed copies of The James Bond Lexicon to take home with them. – It was good to be back on the convention circuit again and meeting people.
We were delighted to recently be asked to join Edgar and Matt of the excellent James Bond Complex podcast for a wide ranging conversation about all things 007 related. It was a fun and at times insightful conversation with some great questions.
The guys at the excellent Central Intelligence Cinema podcast were crazy enough to ask us to be the first guests on their new “Special Operations Debrief” shows. We had a great time discussing many aspects of Bond geekdom as well as diving into some of the details of the The James Bond Lexicon.
We were honored to be asked to appear on an episode of KTRS Radio’s Geek To Me pop-culture show in early May. We had a great time chatting about the story behind the James Bond Lexicon and things 007 in general.
Thanks to The 00 Files team for inviting us on to their podcast to discuss The James Bond Lexicon project. Gill and Alan had a great time discussing the book, and quizzing the guys on their James Bond Lexicon based knowledge. And of course, they had to turn the tables on us too! – Now we know to make sure we are fully briefed on the respective heights of Dutch actors in Bond movies!
We were honored to be the first guests on their special 007th Anniversary show. You can listen to the show on your favorite podcast platform, or even watch the interview on YouTube.
[Having listened back to our spot on James Bond Radio we realize that Alan made a couple of goofs.
Fleming wrote Bond’s obituary in YOLT not OHMSS ! Oops!
Jill and Tilly Masterton / Masterson were definitely sisters but not twins.
We are delighted to announce that THE JAMES BOND LEXICON book is now on-sale, and is available from global Amazon websites (with more online outlets to follow). – A full list can be found on the “Our Bond Books” page.
