No Time To Die First Reactions

It’s been a six year wait for a new James Bond movie. So was it worth the wait? The team at the On Her Majesty’s Secret Podcast network have now all seen No Time To Die (some of us multiple times). So what did we think? We have recorded a short series of initial reaction podcasts that you can find here:

Bond Music: Six of the Best Goes Big With Bond Themes

Alan takes a trip down memory lane, while Jarrod is left to wonder why his CD collection of alternate Bond themes is incomplete in the latest edition of the Bond Music: Six of the Best podcast. In our continuing look at various spin-off alternate Bond albums we take a look at 1975’s Big Bond Themes from Geoff Love and his Orchestra, where we discuss not only the music, but why there are two different album sleeves.

Tune in and find out more.

Bond And Beyond chat.

Had a great time with the guys on the Bond And Beyond podcast recently chatting about several 007 related topics such as James Bond Jr., board games, merchandise, a certain Lexicon, as well supplying some on-the-fly answers to a surprise round of Desert Island Bond. An a big vote of thanks for letting Alan witter on for the majority of the show sharing some stories about what happened to various Bond vehicles after the movies wrapped. – You can tune in an listen here.

Bond Music: Six of the Best gets Elektronika

On the latest of the Bond Music: Six of the Best podcast episode, Jarrod and Alan continue their investigation of various Bond related “spinoff” albums with BOND BEAT & BASS. The subtitle “The Elektronika James Bond Themes” gives a hint of what we can expect. Just how cruel has Jarrod been making Alan listen to this and will he begin to appreciate this sort of music?

Tune in here to listen and found out.

Talking Bond at Comicpalooza

The Bond Lexicon team (i.e. Gillian and Alan) had a great time at the recent Comicpalooza pop-culture event in Houston TX, where we’d been asked to present our “25 Things You Didn’t Know About James Bond” panel. It was interesting, and a little different, being on an open stage in the middle of the main convention floor. We got a good engaged crowd, had some fun throwing out a mix of 007 themed trivia questions and facts for the audience. Thanks also to the few folks who stayed a while after the panel and picked up signed copies of The James Bond Lexicon to take home with them. – It was good to be back on the convention circuit again and meeting people.

Rogue Agents Join the Casino Royale “Fun Movement.”

How will the OHMS Podcast Rogue Agents crew react to their first encounter with the singular swing sixties experience that is the 1967 production of Casino Royale?

Just how many 007s will it take for them to understand what they just watched? Tune in here and find out.

Bond Music Six of the Best Gets a Little Shaken & Stirred

As we have now covered all the movie soundtracks to date we thought it might be fun to branch out with our Bond music podcast series and take a look at some of the “spin-off” albums out there. Alan had the lead for the first in this new series and picked David Arnold’s Shaken & Stirred project.

You can check out our discussion of the album and, as usual, or six track picks by tuning in here.

A Complex Chat About the Lexicon

We were delighted to recently be asked to join Edgar and Matt of the excellent James Bond Complex podcast for a wide ranging conversation about all things 007 related. It was a fun and at times insightful conversation with some great questions.

You can tune in to the podcast HERE or watch along on YouTube.

CIC Debriefs the Lexicon

The guys at the excellent Central Intelligence Cinema podcast were crazy enough to ask us to be the first guests on their new “Special Operations Debrief” shows. We had a great time discussing many aspects of Bond geekdom as well as diving into some of the details of the The James Bond Lexicon.

You can listen the the conversation HERE.
