Golden Girls & Lethal Lexicons

Gill recently made her solo podcast debut as part of the Junkfood Cinema‘s “Junk Bond” series when she spent time chatting to host Brian Salisbury about her favorite Bond movie, Goldeneye; the female perspective on the Bond Girls; and just where did Bond eat when he was in Austin, TX. The episode is available as a special Patreon bonus right HERE.

London Lexicon Meet-Up

We were lucky enough to spend a couple of days in London recently where we enjoyed seeing a screening of The Living Daylights at the Prince Charles Cinema. Afterward, we enjoyed the company of Tom from the James Bond A-Z podcast, Gosse and Jorrit from the James Bond Netherlands website, Scott from the SpyHards podcast, and co-author of Some Kind of Hero, Ajay Chowdhury who also took us all on an impromptu walking tour of Fleming and Bond sites around the west-end of London. A memorable evening all around.

Lexicon Signing

Thanks to the fine folks at Austin Books & Comics for being such great hosts for our recent James Bond Lexicon in-store book-signing event. We had a great time meeting lots of folks and chatting about Bond. And a special vote of thanks to those fine folks who also picked up a signed copy of the Lexicon, we appreciated the interest and support.

A Really Fun Podcast

We had a great time recently chatting with Tom and John from the Really 007 crew along with Licence to Queer‘s David Lowbridge-Ellis. about the James Bond Lexicon. Even if they did point out that we’d missed a few things. (I’ll never look at the Corgi model of the BMW Z3 from GoldenEye now without thinking I should have turned it around). You can join in the fun by listening to the latest Really 007! podcast episode HERE.

Bantering about Bond, and Beatles

We were delighted to be invited back to participate in Jack Lugo’s fun Bond and Banter podcast recently and had a great time discussing The James Bond Lexicon, sharing a few thoughts on No Time To Die, as well as talking about Alan’s Beatles podcast Before They Were Beatles, and much more. You can check it out by clicking HERE.

No Time To Die First Reactions

It’s been a six year wait for a new James Bond movie. So was it worth the wait? The team at the On Her Majesty’s Secret Podcast network have now all seen No Time To Die (some of us multiple times). So what did we think? We have recorded a short series of initial reaction podcasts that you can find here:

Talking Bond at Comicpalooza

The Bond Lexicon team (i.e. Gillian and Alan) had a great time at the recent Comicpalooza pop-culture event in Houston TX, where we’d been asked to present our “25 Things You Didn’t Know About James Bond” panel. It was interesting, and a little different, being on an open stage in the middle of the main convention floor. We got a good engaged crowd, had some fun throwing out a mix of 007 themed trivia questions and facts for the audience. Thanks also to the few folks who stayed a while after the panel and picked up signed copies of The James Bond Lexicon to take home with them. – It was good to be back on the convention circuit again and meeting people.

A Complex Chat About the Lexicon

We were delighted to recently be asked to join Edgar and Matt of the excellent James Bond Complex podcast for a wide ranging conversation about all things 007 related. It was a fun and at times insightful conversation with some great questions.

You can tune in to the podcast HERE or watch along on YouTube.

CIC Debriefs the Lexicon

The guys at the excellent Central Intelligence Cinema podcast were crazy enough to ask us to be the first guests on their new “Special Operations Debrief” shows. We had a great time discussing many aspects of Bond geekdom as well as diving into some of the details of the The James Bond Lexicon.

You can listen the the conversation HERE.
